All rebuilt engines supplied and/or fitted by Deutsch Auto Centre, are subject to the following warranty terms and conditions.
Length of Warranty
This warranty applies for whichever of the following periods is shorter: 12 months from the date of sale, or if fitted by us or 12,000 miles.
Terms of Warranty
During the period of warranty, Deutsch Auto Centre will make good any defect, and if unit was fitted by us, will cover parts and labour costs providing that:
The defect was not caused by abuse, lack of fluids, incorrect fluids, failure of belts, gaskets and etc, or neglect, accident, racing, pacing, speed trials, or by any other modification or alteration, repair or attempted repair, except for any carried out with Deutsch Auto Centre’s written consent.
The defect is reported to Deutsch Auto Centre in writing (or by telephone followed by confirmation in writing) immediately after the defect appears.
Unless fitted by Deutsch Auto Centre, the engine must, as soon as practicable, be returned to Deutsch Auto Centre for examination, repair or replacement within the terms of this warranty.
This return will be at the customers own expense and Deutsch Auto Centre will not be liable for any transport or labour costs incurred. If fitted by us, the vehicle must be returned to us at the customer’s own expense. Deutsch Auto Centre will not consider any claim(s) in regard to labour costs or any recovery/hire charges incurred in the fitting, removal or changing of parts supplied by us.
No variation or modification of the terms of this warranty shall be valid or binding unless it is in writing, signed by a responsible and authorised employee of Deutsch Auto Centre.
The owner is responsible for the cost of maintenance items including, but not limited to, anti-freeze, filters, elements and belts, replaced during warranty repairs.
During the period of this warranty, should a claim for excessive oil consumption be made, the owner must be prepared to supply adequate information to show that oil consumption was exceeding the manufacturers specification.
When rebuilt engines are fitted, a new cam/timing tensioner kit, belts, seals and gaskets, oil, oil filter, water pump and spark/glow plugs must be fitted. Damage caused as a result of failing to follow this instruction will void all guarantees. Engines are sold 'bare' without any ancillary parts. Damage caused by misuse, improper fitting, neglect and/or continued use will invalidate all terms and conditions.
Vehicle must not exceed 3,000 RPM / 70mph for first 500 miles
Vehicle must have a oil and genuine oil filter change after 500 miles. Then every 6 months or 6,000 miles whichever sooner.
If not warranty will be void.
This warranty is non-transferable.
Nothing in the above warranty affects the customer’s statutory rights.
Please note: Rebuilt engines are supplied empty of oil or fluids unless fitted by ourselves. The term engine means block and cylinder head excluding any ancillary parts surrounding the engine i.e. starter motor, water pump, injectors etc.
